The White Architects of Black Education: Ideology and Power 1865-1954 by author Dr. William H. Watkins was this week’s topic. Today’s “problems” with education are by no means an accidental. They are the preordained result of a century’s-old need to “socially engineer” Black people into a permanent class of colonized subjects in a post-plantation enslavement nation. Hear also from Drs. John Henrik Clarke and James Turner on the politics of African-centered education and the challenges which remain today posed to us all. All this plus Nas on we not being stopped, a tribute to Nelson Mandela and the struggle for African liberation, Haki Madhubuti on educating Children, Cassandra Wilson on the voodoo and much more.
