Peace. I actually have the perfect song for this topic… Great discussion as always comrades…
I enjoyed all the participants in the discussion and agreed with most of what I heard. My only issue was with Marc Lamont Hill. If he spoke as eloquently as he did during this presentation in regards to black incarceration, institutional racism and AmeriKKKan revilement of blackness on Bill O’Reilly’s show, he would never have been ‘picking up a paycheck’ from FOX news, as he said disparagingly of other pundits later in this show of which he is most definitely one. All I can glean from this is that he plays both sides of the fence when he his in front of a ‘black’ audience and when he is in front of a ‘mainstream’ (white) audience. Maybe he does it for survival mode as most (if not all) black people must do to varying degrees to survive in Amerikkka. I don’t know one black person who is not guilty of this , but his time on here was in such stark contrast to his time on Fox News, I just had to comment on it.
That being said, my major problem with the brother is the article he wrote on Malcolm X being gay and as his basis, he uses Bruce Perry’s TOTALLY DISCREDITED biography on Malcolm X to prove his point. Personally, I don’t know if Malcolm X ever had a physical relationship with a man AND I DON’T CARE IF HE DID. The problem is that Hill uses a piece of garbage biography full of lies and innuendos, for example blaming Malcolm’s father for burning down his own house instead of the white marauders that truly did it. There is no excuse for using this useless book of lies as piece of historical record, especially since he is a leader and a scholar who holds a lot of cache in many important spaces. Just so people won’t think I am slandering Hill’s name, I will post the link to his essay. I would hope that the brother doesn’t continue to get his history from the same white male supremacists and power structure that is imprisoning his people and pass this DISINFORMATION to young malleable minds. Thank you.
