Veteran activist Bob Brown of the All African People’s Revolutionary Party (Guinea-Conakry) joined us this week. He led a discussion of the real Black Left, socialism, pan-Africanism, and the overall struggles dominated by issues of race, class and gender. We discussed and aired a brief tribute to Patrice Lumumba and Kwame Ture, as well as, the movements they represented and for which they were assassinated and continuously demonized. We also aired a response from DC’s own Head-Roc and DJ Munch to the onslaught of a pending move to the Diamond District by Wal-Mart and what this specifically means for the people there.
