With the help of AK Press and the Bollox bookstore in Amsterdam we had a great time presenting and discussing I Mix What I Like! It was a new context of course, with various strands of Europeans and Africans from the diaspora all rapping about identity, music, imperialism, political prisoners and more in a small anarchist bookstore. The Bollox collective though, all told with its books, good vegetarian food, collective economics, sharing and all around good vibes was very impressive. And though not all is as well outside that small space it was good to connect with it even in a small dose. We were also in Amsterdam to support The Cornel West Theory and Kymone Freeman who all came from Washington, D.C. to spread great music and politics. And even better is that these connections have already born fruit regarding extended connections and work.

Peace Dr. Ball:
Please make an “I Mix What I Like” page on facebook so that people can ‘like’ it and/or share it and whatnot (if it already exists, then my bad).
Question: Why does a person who seems revolutionaryprogressive, still refer to this place as “Our Country”? It just causes some apprehension within my psyche.
So Khaliq, to whom are you addressing your comment? Who is not, all of a sudden, rising to your standard of “revolutionary progressive”? Is now everything else that led you, apparently, to a false belief now erased? Who said “our country” and when and in what context? Random, near anonymous and unexplained criticism “causes me some apprehension within my psyche.” So please help.
