It’s also best to retain your autonomy instead of letting the whole world in on your business and expecting a positive result. The main point is that whatever your motives we have to build our own power. The reason we have to build our own power is because one day you may come to realize all those people whom you thought were allies care nothing about you. Historically in Rome everyone had sweet words for Caesar in the Theater of Pompey before they plunged daggers into his back. If for whatever reason you still want to save the world at least consider building yourself up first. Wouldn’t we be more helpful to others more importantly ourselves if we increased our own capacity to offer something besides a protest or speech?
