Dr. Gerald Horne and others joined Tom Porter on this edition of Jazz and Justice.  Their discussion covered a wide-range of issues which included the place held by Black America within the broader political economy of the world historically and today.  Within that discussion there was an fascinating blend of music and music history, including insights into why John Coltrane wanted Wes Montgomery to join his band!  Those gathered today also discussed the Black electorate, the Black Caucus, the NAACP’s “disturbing relationship” with Wells Fargo, and president Obama in ways unabashedly far Left and Black of center.  This is truly a can’t miss episode and collection of music and thought to which too few are exposed.
