In our first hour this week we were joined by Brigette Rouson and Faye Williams for a discussion of cultural competency and the non-profit community. In our second hour we offered another response to the question of Black Power in the Obama era. To do so we offered a collage of audio featuring many of the voices of those engaged in Black Power politics then and now. We also took a few moments to hear from Lynne Stewart, the now incarcerated people’s defense lawyer, who can be heard offering her thoughts on freedom struggles, the law and the color of torture. All that and more in the week’s edition of Jazz and Justice.
